Please advise of how to uninstall the old part, and then reinstall the new one.

Edwin F. for Model Number GSS20IEPHWW

ANSWER Hello Edwin, Dis-connect the unit from the power supply to prevent electrical shock or death. Turn the water supply off to the unit. Remove the water supply line from the back of the unit. Remove the rear bottom cover if necessary and remove the water valve mounting screws, (1/4 inch hex). Holding the new water valve beside the old one, transfer the water lines and power connections one at a time from the old one to the new one. Reconnect the water supply and turn the water back on. Check for leaks. If no leaks are present, remount the water valve to the cabinet of the unit and reinstall the rear bottom cover. Plug the unit back in and the job is complete.
