My dishwasher does work, however the buzzing/grinding/humming noise it makes is absolutely deafening!! I know it needs repair, but I cannot afford a repairman at this time. We want to try to diagnose the problem and fix it ourselves. We recently took parts out that are located in the bottom, and cleaned everything. We did find a piece of glass and thought that was the problem. After putting it back together, the noise actually got louder!! It does still work, but I feel I'm killing it everytime I run it. Lately, we've been on manual dishwashing duty!! Any suggestions or things I can check would be appreciated!
ANSWER Hello Marilyn. If you cleaned out the unit, and the noise got louder, you may have a bad motor, and will need to replace the motor assembly W10239404. Hope this helps.
