My Maytag washer machine will start to go in a spin cycle 2 times and stop and the light starts to flash . The load is level .I even tried with nothing inside the drum the same-thing happens ? The drum moves side to side real easy . Do you think it is the dampening straps are broken ?

Bernie for Model Number Maytag centennial (Commercial technology)

ANSWER Bernie, Your Maytag Centennial washer does not have dampening straps, so there's no need to consider that. If your washer won't spin, even empty, there are several things you'll want to check . First, make sure you don't have a voltage issue, if the power supply drops below 108 VAC when the motor starts, it overheats and shuts down. Remove the tub cover and check for small articles stuck between the inner and outer tub. Remove and check the drain pump 3363394 for something stuck in the impeller, or a seized up impeller.
