Found oil drops on inside of tub and on clothes after wash. Is there a seal for this or does the transmission have to be replaced ? This happened once when washing heavy load so far seems to be fine under normal load. Thank you

ANSWER Hi Mike. This is a common belief that transmission oil leaks into the tub. Reality; Old Fabric Softner will accelerate shelf life and eventually turn black giving this appearance on clothes. Options. Remove power. Lift top/and support. Remove tub top cover. With a putty knife scrape the build up/scum sideways and use Mr. Bubbles tile spray on the cover, let set in the driveway and 10/15 min. later hose it off. Use washer magic tub cleaner monthly to keep unit clean. Part # TJ131. Thank You.
