I have adequate water pressure into the primary valve. My ice dispenser creates almost full cubes, although sometimes hollow. The water dispenser slowly started to decrease and then stopped all together. Now, when trying to dispense water, I also notice a leak coming from under the freezer side of the unit. I’m trying to figure if that is a separate problem, or related to one of the valves. Which valve should I purchase? Have you seen a leak like this before? Thank you
ANSWER Hello Brian,
Hollow cubes can only be cause by one thing - low water fill. This can be caused by a bad water valve WR57X10022 or insufficient water pressure. A leak can be from the water pressure diversion joints in the fill line since they are not designed to hold water pressure. If the fill tube freezes, this causes the diversionary connections to have to try to hold water pressure. Of course you should never rule out the possibility of a leak from another source.
