This has an ice maker, the water inlet valve is on the back bottom right side of refrigerator if you are standing behind it. Just to the left there is a small fan. Underneath this small fan I saw water standing. My question is, is this normal or where might the water be coming from, and does the water inlet valve have to be mounted to back of refrigerator to ground it to make it work properly?
Reason I ask iscould the vavle have a leak, but I have no water on the floor under the vavle?
Hope I explained
ANSWER Hello Paul,
Yes it is normal to see water in the base of the back of unit. Ge uses the base as the drain pan instead of having a separate pan. The water will disapate with the heat off compressor and the fan blowing across it. The water valve should be mount to the cabinet.
