I needed to use the washer again after taking it out of service about 10 years ago. It appears to be leaking out of a port hole on the neck of the water pump about an inch above the coupling to the motor. Since the hole appears to be molded into the body of the pump I am not sure if a plug came out or perhaps a seal broke inside the pump allowing water from the inside to get to the hole. Is there a molded hole on the water pump that is supposed to have a plug or be left open?

ANSWER Hello Tom. There is no plug for the hole on the pump. If it is leaking, you will need to replace the pump WH23X42. Hope this helps.
