On my GE washer with pump # AP2046344 when the wash water recirculates it does not flow far enough to land in the filter basket. Been doing this for quite some time. Is this a design defect or an indication of a weak pump?

ANSWER Chas, It could be a weak pump, but you should also notice a drain issue, it's more likely a clog, or restriction in the recirculation tube up to the tub cover, Check the tube first. then replce the pump. Good Luck and Thanks
