I had a water line split very close to the orange inlet valve on the WR57X10026. I had to pull the old tubing out of the valve, but I can't get a replacement tube to reinstall in the orange inlet. Looking at the inlet, it seems that the old tubing left behind some plastic that I can't remove, and it's preventing the new tube from catching on the metal prongs to seat properly. Is it possible to just buy the replacement piece (metal plate, blue plate with inlet, orange piece) for what I would assume would be around $10, or do I need to replace the entire inlet valve assembly? Also, are those inlets made to be reusable, or can you only insert one plastic tube and it can't be removed for another one? Thanks.
Try to use something to get the old tubing out. You will want to push on the orange ring to get it out and while pushing use something to remove. If you are unable to get the tubing out you would need to purchase a new water inlet valve.
