The renters stated water was flowing from the ice maker. They shut off the water. I came over and turned on the water and cannot recreate the issue. I don't seem to get water going to ice maker. Is it the AP2071724 water inlet solenoid?

ANSWER Hello Scott,
This s either the water inlet valve WR57X10012 or a partially restricted water supply or low water pressure situation. If the water pressure is running just high enough to work, should the ice maker cycle at the same time a commode is flushed or a shower is running,.....etc., the water pressure could be dropping below an acceptable level and the water valve, being closed only by water pressure, might not be able to close. This would explain why you cannot recreate the situation. Since there isn't a definite way to recreate the circumstances around the leak, the safe bet is to replace the water inlet valve and go ahead and check the water pressure with a gauge. You should have between 30 p.s.i. and 120 p.s.i. of water pressure.
