Ice maker works perfectly, (knock on wood) Water does not flow when you switch to water on the doors. The light comes on when you push the button for both ice & water. Do I need to repalce the valve?

Jim H. for Model Number TPX21PR GE Profile

ANSWER Jim, The water valve is a good place to start. You could disconnect the wires from the fill valve solenoid(orange/red) and attach your meter leads to the wire terminals, press the water dispenser paddle and check for 120 VAC across the wires. If the voltage is present repalce the valve. if no voltage you'll need to check the switches in the dispenser assembly and the wires to the valve.
