The water line to my refrigerator had been broken for several months. I was finally able to have it repaired, so water supply has once again been restored to the unit. The water dispenser is working, but the ice machine is not receiving its injection of water to start the ice making process. The ice machine worked perfectly until the water line was broken between the wall and the unit. Could some part have been ruined or frozen shut with no water being in the system for several months? I am trying to figure out why the unit isn't making ice anymore.
You will want to pull your icemaker out of unit and check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen. If it is frozen then you will need to clear ice out of it.
