Ice maker worked only occasionally so replaced the ice maker and now it has not worked at all. I am thinking it may be the water valve. Your guess? And where is the water inlet valve for the ice maker?
The water valve may be the cause of failure. You will need to check voltage at the water valve to see if the valve is energizing when the icemaker calls for water. If there is 120 vac and the fill tube is not frozen then you would want to replace the water valve. In most cases the water valve is located on this unit under the front of the unit or it is located in the upper section of the unit.
