The spin cycle of our machine had a loud roaring noise. I am in the process of replacing the bearings and followed the steps on your video however I am stuck at the removal of the shaft from the bearings. Applied Aero Kroil to loosen the frozen parts (not sure if it really penetrates in between the shaft and the bearings though - may be should leave the penetrating oil overnight??) and hit 100+ times with hammer with piece of wood no luck. Should I drill through the bearings to help the shaft out. Would that work or any other suggestions?
ANSWER Hello Mike. When these seize together, it can be very difficult to remove them. Try letting it soak for a few hours and keep hammering away on them. You can try the drill method, but usually soaking works best.
