I have the 4430JJ2005B cam. What is the proper installation procedure? Looking at the door, I'm not sure where to start.
ANSWER Hello Josh
Get down under the door and look up at it. The bottom will have a single screw. Remove this screw and don't loose it. Once it is out, use a pair of needle nosed pliers to slip the metal rod down just far enough to slip the old cam off. Now you can put the new one in position and tap the rod back in. Once you have it in even with the white plastic part, use the end of the needle nosed pliers to push it in farther. Don't push the pliers in far enough to damage the plastic since the screw has to thread in this hole. This should give you room to start the screw. Once the screw is fully installed, the job is done as long as the cam is positioned correctly.
