Hello. I need a Gasket Boot seal for my LG washer, WM0642HW. However, there are 4 gaskets available for this model that I have found :
1 - 4986ER0001A
2 - 4986FR0001A (note the F, not E)
3 - 4986ER0001B
4 - 4986ER0001C
The problem with the description is that they simply say they have a drain hole or not. Some of them have a drain hole on the top, some have a drain hole on the bottom. The mold is made with nubs in each way and is punched out based upon need. You cannot plug a hole made in the wrong spot and without seeing the inside of the ring it is impossible to tell which plug has been punched and which has not.
I tried ordering one that has a drain hole in the top and the bottom is plugged. What I need is a boot seal that has a solid top and a drain on the bottom to be punched. When looking at it inside the washer the triangular flap is at the 11-oclock position and the 6-oclock position has a drain hole and the 12-oclock drain hole is plugged/not punched.
Which part # do you need, I do not want to keep trying by shipping it back and forth, raising the price of the correct part. Please help or provide more detailed images on the inside of the boot seal, please. Thanks.
ANSWER Hello Kirk, according to your model number the gasket with the drain hole used on your model is part number 4986ER0001C. Thanks!
