We have a LG front load washer model WM2487HRM. Looking at your Pump diagram it shows a "Motor Pump Assembly P/N 4681EA2002H" (item K345) and a "Drain Pump Motor P/N 4681EA2001T” (item K340). Does this washer require both parts? Also would it be wise to replace the Casing,pump (item K344) P/N 3108ER1001A?

Yes the unit does need both parts Motor pump assembly and drain motor for proper operation. Unless the casing is cracked or leaking it should not have to be replaced.
