When attempting to start the dryer it makes a humming noise and the drum will not spin, even if it is empty. Previously it would do the same thing when attempting to restart the dryer for continued drying. I would let it sit for 10-15 minutes and it would start.
Based on the information you will want to check the rollers of the unit to ensure that the rollers are not seized. If the rollers have seized it will cause the drum to not turn. If this checks ok then most likely the issue will be with the motor.
