Here is my original question: My dryer will heat on manual setting up to 60 minutes. When I use the sensor settings, the clothes will not thoroughly dry. I replaced the ignitor recently. What could the problem be? I did as you suggested with the venting system, thoroughly cleaning it, but the heat still only works on the manual settings and not the sensor settings. Any other advice?
ANSWER Hi Kurt. There is a thermistor part # 6323EL2001B that is the temperature sensor for the board. Did you use the tech. sheet supplied w/ the unit in order to get the fault codes ? The thermistor is mounted on the back side at the top center area of the blower wheel hsg. On the inside of the lint catcher on the right are 2-sensor bars mounted parallel to one another. They are part # 6500EL3001A. Make sure you use a scotch brite pad to scuff these bars up so they can sense the wetness of the clothes. Make sure the electrical lead and the ground connection are tight on the bars also. Thank You.
