My LG dryer has no heat. The heating assembly has 3 wires on it. A red one, a yellow one and a blue one. I was expecting to find 2 wires. To test for continuity am I checking the red against the yellow and then the blue against the yellow?

ANSWER Hello Sean. Yes, you will test from the top wire to the middle, and from the middle to the bottom. If the heater 5301EL1001J is good, it should read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
