I recently replaced the hi limit thermostat AP4440975 after my dryer stopped heating the clothes and it started working fine again. But now 6 months later I'm experiencing the same problem. I don't want to replace this part every 6 months is there something else that could be deteriorating the life of this part? There are no clogs and everything is clean because I just cleaned it all out 6 months ago. Are there other parts that should be replaced also? The unit is 9 years old.
ANSWER Hello Timothy. If there are no kinks or clogs in the venting, you may need to replace the thermistor 6323EL2001B as well on the unit.
