This fridge had NO water to it when I bought the home. It does now. Water in door works. NO ICE. No water to ice tray. I see a warning that damage to ice maker may occour if ice maker is left on with no water. Would this be an easy replace to do the ice maker or is it more parts. I checked the solenoids and they seem ok.What would the damage be to with no water to the ice maker and it was left on? I want to order the right parts.
You can test to see if motor operates on the icemaker. There is a rest button on the bottom of the icemaker. When you push button if the icemaker does not run then the motor is bad and icemaker would need to be replaced.
