Our ice maker produces ice but now doesn't stop producing it -- causing the bin to overflow. I've tried cycling the power on and off, and also reset the ice maker by holding the cube size button until the fingers move through a full cycle. Its not clear to me what the various positions of the feeler arm are supposed to be at various points (i.e. what tells the ice maker to stop making ice?) It usually sits horizontal and I've noticed it feels quite loose when moving gently around. Is there anything else I can do to adjust or am I stuck replacing the whole ice maker assembly?
ANSWER Hello Peter. If the unit does not shut off, you will need to order and replace the icemaker assembly AEQ36756901 in the unit.
