Ice maker has stopped making ice. There is frozen water in the maker but it has not dropped into the tray. The green light is on and there are no sounds or heat coming from the ice maker. I turned off the ice maker and I am waiting for the frozen water in the tray to drain and I will then turn the maker on to see what happens. Any other suggestions?

This sounds like a thermostat in the ice maker AEQ36756901 has failed. Unfortunately, LG provides no replacement parts for the ice maker. They say to just replace the assembly, so there is no alternative other than ice maker replacement.
