When we use the water spout on the outside of the door....a constant stream of water comes out of the ice maker into the tray and after filling a few cups of water the ice tray has a 4 inch solid block of ice. The ice maker continues to make ice however the cubes just become part of the ice block. Any suggestions?

ANSWER Brian, The place to start is the water supply line(pressure to high or low) and the water system fill valve,(a solenoid or diaphram is weak and the pressure fluctuation causes both valves to open and fill at the same time.
