When ice drops from ice maker it causes overfill bar to go to the full position. When I moved into rental house, refrigerator was furnished, but the bar was laying in ice tray. I'm not sure I have it installed correctly. Please help!

ANSWER Hello Johnny. If the bar is pressed into place, and keeps turning off, you will need to order and replace the icemaker 5989JA0002Q for the unit to work properly.
