On my Ice maker, the only thing wrong is the heater on the bottom has holes corroded in it and it quit working, Can I just get a new heater for the ice maker? and does running a water softener cause the alum heatting tube to corrosied? but there isn't any corrosion on the alum ice tray.
ANSWER Hello Greg. No, the softener shouldn't cause the problem you are having. You will need to replace the icemaker assembly AEQ57518201. They do not offer just the heater. Thanks.
