Whats the purpese of a lg lifter ? I have a gap bettween the inner and outer tube, that was not there before, along side with an incredible jet sound, also more vibration than before.
ANSWER Hi Frank. The lifter assy. part # 4433ER1005A is needed to lift and continually tumble the clothes for proper clean ability. There is a normal jet like sound noted on all front loader washers during high speed spin. If you have a larger gap noticed in the front, then remove the back cover. Carefully look at the main stator bolt part # 4040FR4051C to keep it tight. If you need to replace the back tub part # 3045ER0048B(comes with rear main seal and bearing), tub seal part # 4036ER4001B. Look at the shocks while you are there to see if grease or oil has leaked from the shock shaft part # 383EER3001J. Make sure the floor is not weak. Put a half full glass approx. 8-10" in the front of the washer. Make sure the unit is level front to back and side to side. (Improper installation). Make sure the level leg lock nuts are tight up to the bottom of the base. Run the washer and watch the water in the glass. If it shakes the water uncontrollably then if the unit is OK, the floor is the issue. It is not uncommon with all the inner front loader washer weights, the floor joist need supported correctly underneath. Thank You.
