My washing machine keeps giving me an error for the locked motor. I think it is EL? Anyway I get a humming noise and the drum does not turn. With the tech manual in hand I used the diagnostic routine to run the washer through the paces of drum rotation, water, etc. Seams like it turns intermittently, The stator is hot. With the electric off the drum spins. With a call for spin the drum does not move when I try to turn it. I oHmed out the three winding combos and it matches what the book says. I am assuming the motor is good. So it should be the control power board that is bad? I have ordered it but wanted a second opinion.
ANSWER Hello Kyle. Based on the information you provided, you will need to replace the sensor 6501KW2001A and the PCB assembly 6871EC1118A. Check and make sure none of the magnets are cracked in the stator as well. Hope this helps.
