Microwave went through a cycle turning it self off.
When closing the door it wanted to turn on but just humming only not the blower motor. The only key pad functions working are the light and exhaust. If it is the door switches can they be replaced without removing from the wall it is an above the stove model mounted to the cabinet. It may have been humming for 5 minutes before it was detected. Would this 5minutes damage anything having nothing inside it. There was a possible overheating smell coming from it.
ANSWER Hello Mark. It should not damage anything hopefully, but will need to be removed to replace the switches in the unit and determine which switch is bad in the unit.
