I ordered parts 6871EC1115A and 6871EC1121A for my dryer because it would not turn on when the power button was pressed. I replaced both parts and it still will not turn on. Is there anything else that could be keeping the dryer from turning on? I have checked power from the outlet and power from the cord to the junction box in the back of the dryer. Had a service technician come out and he said that both parts were bad.
ANSWER Hello Mike. Test the thermostat high limit 6931EL3003D located on the heater housing. If open for continuity, this is the issue with the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
