At wash cycle start, the tub begins filling with water. After @ 2 minutes, it attempts to turn the tub one way, then the other. As it is trying to turn, it moves a degree or two and stops as if it has met resistance. After a minute or two of this it stops and error message LE is displayed. Note-the tub does turn easily by hand, either direction.
I doubt this has any bearing, but the unit makes a noise as it is attempting to turn CCW. The noise most resembles the sound of a copper water pipe system just barely turned on-like water flowing. It makes little noise as it attempts to turn CW.
I've unplugged the unit and left it unplugged for 2-3 minutes and turned the tub 3-4 revolutions in each direction, with no perceivable difference in effort.
This seemingly began with no warning.
I am about to pull the unit away from wall and pull back off to try and shed more light on situation as I'm guessing the issue may be related to the motor or its components.
Thanks for your help!
ANSWER LG Tromm-2005,
The LE indicates a locked motor error. You will want to check the following.
• The connector (3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR
HARNESS is not connected to the connector
(3-pin, female, white) of STATOR ASSEMBLY.
• The electric contact between the connectors
(3-pin, male, white) in the MOTOR HARNESS
and 4-pin, female, white connector in the MAIN PWB
ASSEMBLY is bad or unstable.
• The MOTOR HARNESS between the STATOR
ASSEMBLY and MAIN PWB ASSEMBLY is cut (open
• The hall sensor is out of order/defective.
