After loading the washer and starting a wash cycle, it will lock the front door and (normally) the washer will briefly spin the drum, stop, and the cycle will continue from that point. The problem is that the washer does not start spinning the drum at start-up and there is no activity for a minute or two and then shows an LE code. The drum does not spin on its own at all but it can be turned by hand smoothly with almost no resistance. I believe the problem is the sensor. Am I on the right track?

Frank for Model Number WM1812CW

ANSWER Hello Frank, This sounds like the drain pump filter is clogged with debris. Some units have a small access door in the front of the unit to clean the filter out through, and some have to have the entire front panel removed to access it. Either way, by unscrewing the sump access counterclockwise, you can clean this filter and continue with your washing. During this time, if you have the unit unplugged, it will reset the control to clear the fault so the unit can run through its' cycle.
