My refrigerator is not keeping the refrigerator compartment cold. I have had someone out to look at it and they have advised that the freezer is working fine and so are the fans to the refrigerator. They have advised that either the temperature sensor and or PCB may need to be replaced at a cost of $500. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
ANSWER Hi Craig. To the rt. of the inside cavity there is a thermistor cover grill that is approx.2-1/2" long and 1-1/2" tall. Unclasp this and remove and replace the thermistor. Cut the old one as close to the thermistor body as possible so you have enough wire to reconnect to in the future if needed. Then use silicone to back fill the connectors so no moisture will get into the connections. The thermistor is part # 6500JB1001K. Thank You.
