The service tech said the spider needed to be replaced without actually inspecting to see if it is worn out. Does the manufacturer require the spider be replaced while replacing the bearings?

ANSWER Hello Kevin. You can look at the spider and see if there are bearing traces worn into the shaft. If so, the spider 4434ER0002A will need to be replaced. If not, you should be fine using the old spider. Hope this helps.
