I read that LG updated the rear outer drum and that you have to replace the stator and rotor with rear outer drum replacement. The rear drum seal failed and took out bearings. Replace bearings and seals or rear outer drum ass. with bearings and seals installed?
ANSWER Hello Bob. It is best to replace the outer tub assembly AJQ35154201 with the bearings already installed, but you do have the option to replace just the bearings. If installed wrong, the bearings will leak, and you are back to square one again with the unit. This is why the assembly is best and easiest to do.
