Water not getting into ice maker. Water dispenser works. Original water valve part # is 5220JB2009A. This is a dual solenoid - single inlet and outlet. (not sure why there are 2 solenoids for one in/one out water supply). All research points to AJU72992601 as a replacement part. Is this correct for my unit? Also, there has been references to frozen water inlet line on this site. How is that thawed and where is it? Thank you
ANSWER Hello Ray,
The icemaker fill tube is at the icemaker where the water pours out of the fill tube into the icemaker. If it is frozen, the water valve is at fault. It is thawed out with a hair dryer if it freezes up. It will just freeze back up if the water valve is not changed. If it is not frozen, you can either have a bad water valve AJU72992601 or the contacts in the icemaker are not sending voltage to the icemaker to properly cycle it for ice production.
