On my front loading LG, model WM0642HW, the pre-wash cycle never stops even when I power the washer off. When I run through the test sequence the solenoid appears to work correctly (I.e. - the pre-wash water stops running like it is supposed to.) it is only when I run through an actual cycle that the pre-wash water does not stop running, even when I power off the unit. I have to turn the water off at the wall to stop it. I have seen an IE error code but not consistently. I have cleaned the filter but have not checked voltage and current draw at the solenoid. Any idea what this is?
The IE error indicates the water level is not reached within 8 minutes after water is supplied or does not reach the preset water level within 25 min. You will want to check the water valve inlet screens to make sure that they are not clogged. If the screens check ok and the water is not shutting off even when unplugged then the water valve 5220FR2006H is faulty and would need to be replaced.
