The water does not always drain out of my washer at the end of the cycle. I placed the drain hose into a bucket to see if the pump is working properly and every thing seems ok. We also have a a lot of water in the drum when it is left unused over night. Could this be an issue with the water inlet valve, the drain pump or both?
ANSWER Mark, You're on track. The tub filling when the washer is not in use is usually due to a "seaping" fill valve solenoid 5221ER1003A and 5220FR2006H. The drain issue could still be an intermittent issue in the drain pump motor 4681EA2001T or a small article stuck in the tub outlet opening or in the tub to pump hose 4738ER1002A.
