Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
We just run our dishwasher periodically to keep seal from drying out. Every time we run it, water comes out the air gap vent on top of the sink. Is this normal or is something stuck open? Thanks!
ANSWER Mark, It's more like something is clogged. Most likely, the large hose from the air gap to the disposal can clog or kink. So disconnect the hose at the disposal and check for a clog, also check the disposal inlet connector for colgs. Lift the chrome cover off the assembly, unscrew the plastic interior under the chrome cap, and clean out any debris that has accumulated in the cap. Good Luck and Thanks
