When I had the oven on, I noticed one day that the bake element was glowing brighter in the back near where it connects to the oven.
A couple of days later I was baking something and a loud roar came from the oven and I saw sparks flying from the bottom of the oven and the breaker tripped. The element had burned completely in two, right where I had seen it glowing bright.
I wondered if I could just replace the element or if I need to buy a new stove.
ANSWER Hello Marilyn. It sounds like the element 316075104 burnt out and just needs to be replaced in the unit.
