I have an electric estate dryer, the dryer will not heat on the timed dryer cycle but it will heat on the more heat cycle and that to is beginning to not work on occasion. I removed all 3 thermostats, fuse and timer plus the heating element and took it repair shop and had them tested all were ok. The timer was another story they said it could not be checked like the other units is this correct? What could be the problem? I have a Digital Multimeter GE2524 how would I use this device to check the timer, fuse, element and the thermostats I know the setting is ohms but what number My device has 2000k to 20k and 2000 to 20 on the dial. Thanks in advance
ANSWER Hello Memo. That is a bad timer on the unit. You will need to replace the timer.
