I have a samsung RS2544SL fridge/freezer
fridge not cooling. took apart back panel of fridge and manually defrosted ice build up on coils. Seems to be working fine, but afraid ice may build up again so preventatively ordered parts DA47-10160H Thermal bimetal and DA32-0006W (sensor).
Not sure where these parts are as I didn't see them in back panel of fridge. Part diagram indicates they are in freezer? Difficult to tell from the parts diagram. Can you help to describe where these parts are and if it is fairly straightforward for a handy person to replace? Which of these parts is the likely culprit of the problem if ice does indeed build up again and fridge stops cooling?
Thank you so much
ANSWER Hello Sam. Based on the information you provided, the evaporator in the fresh food is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. This is a sealed system repair and will require an HVAC tech to charge the system.
