The back of the freezer was caked with ice and defrosted with a heat lamp. After the unit was plugged back in, the freezer would not get colder than about 19 degrees. It now fluctuates between 19 and 33 degrees. While there is no more ice, there is also no more cold. The refrigerator compartment cools perfectly fine. What are the possible problems?
ANSWER Hi. Do you hear the fan running in the freezer evaporator itself? The fan motor is part # DA31-00002V the fan blade is part # DA31-00019A. It may be frosting but not circulating the frozen air temperatures. Thank You.
