I checked all the parts on my Amana dryer for continuity to include the thermostat, heating element, thermal fuse, and checked the power cable assembly. I also checked the power source as well as cut on and off the circuit breaker. When I did the circuit breaker test, heat passed through the dryer for about 10 seconds. I replaced the heater element but the coils are not heating up. the drum moves as normal and all other functions seem to work. I don't know what else to check and I've read your forum on how to use the multi-meter and still no cigars.
ANSWER Hello Russ. If the unit heated on the breaker test, it sounds like the house hold breaker is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit.
