The ice maker unit has ice cubes in the tray, and after pushing the "test" button, the ice flips into the bucket. But then it will not continue to operate as it should, but instead water will flow into the ice bucket, down the ice chute, all over the floor. Yikes! It was doing this for a few days and froze water all throughout the freezer shelves. Should we replace the ice maker unit?
ANSWER Rachel, It does sound like a faulty Ice maker control DA97-00258C.After the cubes dispense and fall into the ice bin, the twist tray should rotate back to it's original level horizontal position, If it doesn't the control module is at fault and will need to be replaced.
