The certified Samsung repairman that Samsung sent me to for my out-of-warranty 2.5 year old over oven microwave is telling me that I need an entire latch assembly instead of just buying the broken plastic piece that holds the spring. Is this just an attempt line their pockets, or is there some advantage to replacing the entire assembly?
If just the door latch that is on the door and holds the spring in place is broken then that is all that you would need to order.
