Ice maker wasn't working. No activity in the module. Replaced the module and still there is no cycling. Am I to assume that there is no power to the module or that the water valve is not functioning?
ANSWER Hello ED. Press the button under the head of the icemaker and see if the icemaker cycles and dumps the ice. If the icemaker cycles, and there is no water, replace the valve DA74-40149D. If there is no power to the icemaker, you will need to replace the main PCB. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
