Hello, My washer will not spin at all. Bottom tray was taken out and with washer tilted backwards, washer actually spins in this awkward position. From my observation, there is a latch that does not engage during spin cycle. Does this actuator have latch that moves to engage during spin cycle??
ANSWER Nat, Yes, the actuator W10006355 performs several functions, It has a synchronous motor that shifts the splutch slider and monitors the position of the splutch. It also houses a transmission speed/position optical sensor. The splotch controls the agitate or spin functions based on the actuator position and the optical sensor inside the actuator controls the orbits per min. or agitator pattern in the wash cycle, and also controls the spin speed in the drain spin cycle. Your first check should be to check the wiring harness and connections at the actuator, make sure everything is fitting tight and proper. Replace the actuator if the wiring and connections are OK. It seems the actuator is the "weakest link" in the drive system on this style washer.
