Hi, I have a Maytag Centennial top loader washer and basically my issue is the same as a posting I read from your list of postings. "When pushing the start button nothing happens. The sensing light comes on and the lid locks." However, this problem started after we ran a load of wash and the washer left the clothes soaked. My question is...is this a seperate issue? Or does the shift actuator control both issues I've listed.... And is this actuator "AP4514409" compatible with my model? MVWC350AW1
ANSWER Duane, Yes, the actuator W10006355 is the most likely issue with your washer, based on past information and experiences. The actuator designates the direction and speed of the motor in agitate or spin. It also contains sensors which communicate to the main control board, and false information from the actuator can cause intermittent and improper lid latch operation. The W10006355 is the correct component for the model number you supplied.
